“I have flown with MAF many times! MAF services are the best!” Passenger Suzan Pasquale says warmly.

The Executive Director with Women Advancement Organisation, Suzan flew to Kapoeta in South Sudan on MAF’s Eastern Equatoria Shuttle, with five colleagues including government officials.

The South Sudanese NGO was founded in 2012 to reduce illiteracy among women and out-of-school youth, improve their livelihoods, protect their rights and increase their participation in socio-economic activities.

Advancing women starts with educating girls, as Suzan explains.

“We are going to Kapoeta with some important guests to do dialogue on the issue of why there is low school attendance among the children of Eastern Equatoria,” she says.

“We have a new project with ADRA (Adventist Development and Relief Agency) for Women’s Advancement. We are informing ourselves so we can design a project for the next three years.”

Suzan has flown with MAF many times at different time to deliver advocacy programmes in locations including Kapoeta, Chukudum, Bor and Wau. She singles out Budi  (known as Chukudum) where MAF is the only air operator serving the community with flights.

“Whenever I go to Budi (Chukudum) I go by MAF. When I am with MAF, I don’t fear. The service is very good,” she says.
